La Casa Encantada, “the Enchanted Home” is an hidden oasis centrally located in the quaint, picturesque city of Patzcuaro. The B&B is a short walk from the historic Plaza named after Don Vasco de Quiroga, a humitarian and defender of indigenous rights.
La Casa Encantada Bed and Breakfast is housed in a restored 18th century Colonial mansion. Upon entering the front gate you are immersed in a peaceful world of 2 colorful garden patios framed by exquisite arched portals. All rooms have electrically heated mattress pads to keep guests warm on cool mountain nights.

Complimentary breakfast is included and hotel guests receive a 10% discount at several local restaurants. Mistongos Restaurant, directly across the street, seats 32 and offers a special catering menu to La Casa Encantada guests.
Patzcuaro and nearby artisan towns are popular destinations for travelers interested in folk art, folklore, fiestas and religious traditions. Patzcuaro comes alive during the Fiesta de los Muertos celebrations in late October-early November.
A studio classroom with a fireplace is available to accommodate workshops and retreats. Artists, photographers and history buffs will be inspired by the fascinating architecture and rich culture and colors of the area.
