Casa Siestas and Olas, La Penita, Mexico

Casa Siestas and Olas is a welcoming family vacation ‘home away from home’ situated in the village of La Colonia (at the North end of La Penita), just over an hour from the Puerto Vallarta airport. The house sits at the edge of an estuary, and overlooks the ocean just beyond.

Choose to stay in one of the two beautiful bed & breakfast rooms: the spacious Del Mar, or the bright El Estero. Or, choose to rent the entire lower level of the home.

Casa Siestas and Olas has all the conveniences and comforts of home, within the calm and relaxing atmosphere of a small Mexican seaside village.

The beautiful large kitchen is fully equipped with a six burner restaurant style gas cooktop, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, toaster oven and blender. The water from all taps in the home, including the showers, is UV filtered and can be enjoyed straight from the tap!

The home can comfortably sleep four to five people, in two bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom. The living area is open to fresh ocean breezes, and ceiling fans in all the rooms ensure that the temperature is always comfortable.

Prepare Happy Hour drinks at the wet bar, and enjoy a beautiful Jaltemba Bay sunset. Relax in the private garden, and take in the many varieties of birds that frequent our Tabachin trees, and you may even spot turtles or a crocodile in the estuary!

Take a stroll through the streets of La Colonia, and discover the warm welcome of its residents. The local store keepers will help you with your Spanish while you make your purchases, and the kids in the street will greet you with a friendly ‘Hola’ as you walk by.
