9th Annual San Miguel Walk Against Domestic Violence
January 24, 2012 – 5:15 a.m. to ……….
The 9th Annual San Miguel Walk Against Domestic Violence will depart the Jardin at 5:15 AM on Tuesday, January 24 in the company of many thousands of Pilgrims on their way to San Juan de los Lagos. The Pilgrims walk for 9 days. Ten of the young CASA staff will walk for 3 days. San Miguel Walk participants will walk 7 kilometers before getting shuttled back to town.
Supporters will meet under the kiosk in the Jardin at 5:15 AM to line up behind the No Mas Violencia banner and walk as part of the Pilgrimage to San Juan de los Lagos. All donations support the domestic violence program at CASA.
You don’t have to walk to support the 9th annual Walk Against Domestic Violence. You can make contributions at the Organic Market on Saturday (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
or by visiting the CASA table at La Pulga on Sunday from 12 noon – 5 p.m.
or by attending the ‘Sendoff Party’ at Harry’s from 5 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
Be on the lookout for volunteers wearing No Mas Violencia caps and purple bandanas!
